Finding the game
I'm now at the half way point for this project and I still feel like I haven't found its identity. I'm feeling pretty confident I'll have something done that I can call a success at the end but I don't think it will accurately express the idea behind DeliveryRL.
Some things I've accomplished in the last few days:
- Update gterm to support box drawing characters
- Polish user interface (resource bars, clean lines around menus)
- Inventory stacking
- Lots of balance work (where monsters spawn, how hard they are)
I'm still not sure if all of these features need to exist in a Delivery style roguelike game. The game is pretty much playable and can be won/lost at this point but it is far from balanced or fun and still lacks identity.
